Rebecca had been born into slavery. She hated her master and tried her best to stay out of his way. He was known for his desire for the younger slaves. But one day he would set his sights on her.

Charles wanted restitution for his debt, and got an order from the magistrate to confiscate a slave in lieu of payment. He would rescue Rebecca and bring her to his plantation. Her new master was the complete opposite of her old one. He was kind and gentle. He never treated his slaves badly.
